West Dorset Wilding seeks trustee with business expertise to support landmark nature recovery project

We are seeking a new trustee with strong business, financial, or governance experience to join its board.  Established in 2021, we are currently heading up one of the UK’s flagship ‘Landscape Recovery’ schemes, supported by Defra, to reverse the decline in biodiversity and restore natural systems through positive changes to the way the land is managed at scale. The work is ambitious - and we now needs additional experienced leadership to help support us through this next critical phase.

We’re a small, passionate team undertaking a nationally significant nature recovery project,” says Luke Montagu, Chair of Trustees. “To support our growth and ensure strong financial and operational oversight, we’re looking for a trustee with extensive business and/or charity leadership experience, as well as a love for nature and for West Dorset.”

This trustee, who will ideally be locally based, will play an active role in ensuring the organisation's financial health, good governance, and long-term sustainability.  It is an exciting and rare opportunity for someone to contribute their expertise to a charity delivering real, long-term impact for nature and people, and one at the cutting edge of nature restoration in the UK.
