Restore nature. Enrich community. Play your part.

BECOME A BUSINESS MEMBER

We are looking for businesses from across Dorset and wider to help us recover nature over a large scale!

We have started successfully in the Brit Valley, and whilst continuing our work with that, we need support to help us work in other parts of West Dorset to help farmers and landowners work collaboratively and collectively to improve nature in their backyards.  We are learning from our experiences in the Brit Valley Project and we believe that we are incredibly well placed to address the biodiversity and climate crisis from the ground up.

Just like it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a community to restore nature.

This community is not just the land managers, but the volunteers, the non-farming families, the children, the teachers, government and non-farming businesses.

As the lifeblood of our area, the support of small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) from West Dorset and surrounding areas will be critical to the success of future gains for nature. Put simply, West Dorset Wilding cannot rely on the government, foundations or its individual members to make this happen, it needs a new and vibrant cohort of Members - YOU.

What we'll do with your funding

It is only by working with the people who manage the land that we will start to restore nature in the UK. So we will work with farmers, landowners, smallholders and other partners in West Dorset to bring together people and create partnerships for large scale change, like we are doing in the Brit Valley.

We will also grow our base of volunteers and citizen scientists who can help us to make these changes, and will work with partners to reintroduce missing keystone species into West Dorset so that they can take their role in the ecosystem.

Our final strand of work is to develop and deliver education and engagement projects to help people, particularly younger people  become more linked to nature.

Join us - West Dorset’s nature needs us, and we need you

To discuss a potential partnership or sponsorship, just support us or to find out more information, please contact us. Together, we can shape a greener future.
